WPT goes from strength to strength and plans to increase its online presence further with the addition of two new executives, hoping to give the current team new perspectives on the online poker industry.

One of the execs is Andy Goetsch (pronounced “gets”) is currently vice president of Cryptologic, a poker software development company and has a solid background in poker, both online and offline and is passionate about keeping veteran players loyal to WPT and not just attracting new players.

Rohin Malhotra has been hired as managing director of international sales and marketing. Malhotra has extensive experience in markeing and producing TV shows, as well as marketing experience at Party Gaming.

Goetsch will help build WPTE’s real-money site by attracting both new online players and veterans, and by making the site such a great experience, it will be too good for the players to play elsewhere. Building new bonus programs and other “retention” structures to help build and keep the site’s pool of players strong.

Malhotra will have as much to do with attracting players as Goetsch, by designing new ways to market the WPT brand all around the world. Familiar with how innovative sponsorship or innovative programming can help and drive an online-gaming business, he will build on the WPT brand
