WPT Poker introduces 7 Card Charlie, giving you another chance to win big.
In this thrilling card game, you can win up to an amazing $ 100,000 if you have a hand with 7 cards that doesn’t go over 21. Usually, 21 takes all, but not in Hold’em Blackjack.
To play this challenging game, simply click on the HBJ tab in our poker lobby and join one of the Hold’em Blackjack games.
The amount you win depends upon the game stakes and the 7 card hand value, as shown in the chart below.
Imagine the following: You are playing in a tournament, probably the best you’ve ever played, and have already beaten five other poker players. You’ve almost reached that unbelievable final table. You go all-in with pocket aces. But wouldn’t you know it! You take a terrible beat and leave with little more than you put in the buy-in.
In a Headhunter tournament, this would never happen. Why? Because you earn cash for every player you eliminate. Imagine - you receive a share of the prize pool even though you don’t make it to the final table!
Play in WPT’s Headhunter tournaments and you’ll come out the hunter, not the hunted in this jungle type atmosphere.
The Headhunter Challenge is an exciting, new type of multi-table tournament where a player wins cash for every player they eliminate. How is this accomplished? A portion of every buy-in is assigned to players’ “Heads”
The more players you eliminate, the more cash you win. On the flip side of the coin, however, the more you win, the bigger target you become to others - the value of your own head increases with every hand you win. It’s tough in the jungle! But the rewards are plentiful.
Bounty Tournaments assign a bounty to those players you’re dying to knock out of the game, such as celebrities, leaderboard winners, or even professional poker players. These players understand that they are heavily being pursued, but at the same time, they enjoy the pursuit because they get their own bounty if they win the tournament.
How To Play
Bounty tournaments are an exciting new way for players to earn extra cash in tournaments. All players who enter a bounty tournament pay the same entry fee. On top of the regular tournament prize pool, certain players in the tournament will be on a list of bounty players - with a prize on their head! Knock them out of the tournament and claim your prize.
Bounty players appear in the Player List in bold, orange text along with the bounty amount that they carry. Players who won bounties are highlighted.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1. Choose Your Bounty Tournament
When you’re at the main lobby, click on the Tourney tab. Bounty tournaments are easily identified by the “B” icon shown on the left hand side of the tournament listing. Select a bounty tournament that has a status of “Registering.” Players never contribute to other players’ bounties - bounty money is always money added.
Step 2. Start Playing
Your bounty targets are player names that appear in orange in the tournament lobby. Bounty amounts are displayed by their names.
Step 3. Eliminating a Bounty Player
Tournament play continues until one player wins all the chips. If you have eliminated a bounty player, the bounty, or the amount of money on the player’s head, will be credited to your account as soon as the tournament ends. Players who have finished in the money will receive their share of the prize pool plus any bounty winnings.
Bounty Tournament Rules
Multiple bounties are rewarded if you eliminate more than one player.
Bounties are not split! If a bounty player is eliminated by two or more players who split the pot, the bounty is awarded to the winning player with the largest stack. If the stacks are equal, the winning player closest to the button receives the bounty.
If a bounty player wins the tournament, they keep their own bounty.
WPT goes from strength to strength and plans to increase its online presence further with the addition of two new executives, hoping to give the current team new perspectives on the online poker industry.
One of the execs is Andy Goetsch (pronounced “gets”) is currently vice president of Cryptologic, a poker software development company and has a solid background in poker, both online and offline and is passionate about keeping veteran players loyal to WPT and not just attracting new players.
Rohin Malhotra has been hired as managing director of international sales and marketing. Malhotra has extensive experience in markeing and producing TV shows, as well as marketing experience at Party Gaming.
Goetsch will help build WPTE’s real-money site by attracting both new online players and veterans, and by making the site such a great experience, it will be too good for the players to play elsewhere. Building new bonus programs and other “retention” structures to help build and keep the site’s pool of players strong.
Malhotra will have as much to do with attracting players as Goetsch, by designing new ways to market the WPT brand all around the world. Familiar with how innovative sponsorship or innovative programming can help and drive an online-gaming business, he will build on the WPT brand

Do you really need to be playing bricks-and-mortar poker to be able to spot a tell? Carl Sampson doesn’t think so…
Whenever you play live poker, you will – if you are skilled enough – be able to pick up on certain tells by certain players. Many professional players who ply their trade in a bricks-and-mortar poker environment base their entire game on spotting and exploiting tells. But most people seem to believe that playing poker in an online environment eliminates being able to pick up on these tells. Well, they are wrong. There are many kinds of tells in poker, and they do not necessarily have to be visual, either. It’s true that most of the tells that players give off in an online game can also be picked up in a live game, and that the same is not true in reverse. But there certainly are tells can be picked up by glaring at the screen.
